Run 03:59
You'd better run Run from the very things you hide You'd better run Run from the very things you hide 'Cos this life as it was Oh you know you gotta leave behind You'd better fear Fear all that you became You'd better fear Fear all that you became 'Cos this life as it is Oh you know is a life in chains Oh, you'd better run You'd better run Run run run from the very things you need You'd better run Run from the very things you need, oh 'Cos your craving for a taste Grows every time you bleed, yeah So you'd better run (You'd better run) You'd better run (You'd better run) You'd better run (You'd better run) Yeah you'd better run (You'd better run) You'd better run (You'd better run) Oh, you'd better run (You'd better run) You'd better run (You'd better run) Ay, you'd better run (You'd better run) You'd better, you'd better (Run) You'd better, you'd better (Run) You'd better, you'd better (Run) You'd better, oh

Ring of Fire 03:32
One, two, three, and Ooh love is a burning thing And it makes a fiery ring Bound by wild desire I fell into a ring of fire Oh I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down, down, down and the flames went higher And it burns, burns, burns The ring of fire. The ring of fire The taste of love is sweet When hearts like ours meet I fell for you like a child Ooh, but the fire went wild I fell into a burning ring of fire I went down, down, down and the flames went higher And it burns, burns, burns The ring of fire. The ring of fire I fell down (To a burning ring of fire) I went down and the flames went higher And it burns, burns, burns The ring of fire. The ring of fire Oh yeah

Bail Me Out 02:37
Oh bail me out little sister Can't you see that I am doomed without you Tried my best to pay that fee Oh bail me out, baby Talked to my friends. Still not sure Oh 'cos I can't depend on them anymore You're the only light I can see Oh bail me out, baby Bail me out, Oh Seems like no-one can hear me scream and shout Break the chains of my life, take me To the place I belong where no-one can hurt me again I'm inside, it's so cold All this time I was a fool I was told Try your best, can't you see? Believe It's the place you belong So bail me out little sister Take my hand, lead me through this mad little world I am yours, and all I'll ever be Oh bail me out, baby Bail me out, baby Oh bail me out, baby
4.
You are all I'll ever want I know my soul it couldn't want for more If life was a brook you'd be the rolling stream Yours is the shadow cast in which I dream Yeah On my skin you are the warming rays And with red in my eyes you wake my daze I could never find a flaw in your embrace Its everything this tired body needs these days I havent been here for the longest time but Now that you're mine You are my sun and you light my sky I'd move the earth for you You just tell me what I need to do And it'll be done. It'll be done. It'll be done Once I had you here with me You were curled up on my body like a part of me If I didnt show you then now I hope you know That as long as I'm breathin' you'll never sleep alone And I havent been here for the longest time but Now that you're mine You are my sun and you light my sky I'd move the earth for you You just tell me what I need to do And it'll be done
5.
Hey what you talkin' 'bout? You want to leave? You ain't going anywhere but you want to believe Stop hiding from yourself. Hey what you talkin' 'bout? Now what you cryin' bout? Your tears they burn See you've forgotten more than I'll ever learn Stand up and tell your tale. Hey, what you cryin bout? Don't stop, get excited if you want to be free To talk of the million dreams you never thought you could dream Hey what you talkin' bout? Now what's all this I hear? Your chance is blown? Well if chance is like the wind then it won't be long 'Til another one comes along. Now what you talkin' bout? Oh yeah, about (Yeah yeah) Don't stop, get excited if you want to be free To talk of the million dreams you never thought you could dream When you find that it’s over you'll be proud you believed And you talked of the million dreams you never thought you could be Hey, what you talkin' bout?

Ye Ye Yo 03:46
I want the whole world to know I want no part of this freedom When they come a knockin' say no I won't be part of the reason And leave our poor children alone While they still have dreams left to season Let's make this part of a trend my friend For making amends Yeah yeah yo Yeah yeah yo Yeah yeah yo Yeah yeah yo I want the whole world to know I'll bag nobody for treason When they come a knockin' say no I don't know why we believe them And leave out poor children alone While there's still a difference between them Hope is not part of the soul That's just believing Yeah yeah yo Yeah yeah yo Yeah yeah yo Yeah yeah yo I want the whole world to know I want no part of this freedom When they come a knockin' say no

Overdriving 04:32
So the world has a way that it works I'm lying here with my face in the dirt Overdriving, I'm overdriving People stop to see if I'm OK but I don't fight the will to entertain I'm Overdriving, I'm overdriving And I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home To you, Oh All we are is a fire and a face I burn it down without a hair out of place I'm Overdriving, I'm overdriving Steady songs pulse a rhythm in the night I wanna take get my guitar and stick it on fright 'cos I'm Overdriving, I'm overdriving And I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home To you, Oh And I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home To you, Oh And I can't wait to get home I can't wait to get home No I can't wait to get home to You, Oh
8.
Why must we go home so soon baby? They're turning water into wine Everybody here was brought by someone else, now Nobody's checking on the time The conversation is coasting And 'cos it's free we ask for more I know we're just making up for wasted time but I wanna shake it on the floor ‘til just the bones are left Singing why can't I help myself If its all in my mind? The queen of hearts is in the corner (Why can't I help myself?) They're taking bets on when she'll fall You know it's not gonna be too long, ooh Got all the fellas taking score how many ghosts they bed Singing why can't I help myself? It's all my mind Why can't I help myself? Kill off my bottled soul Why can't I help myself? Kill off my bottled soul with rock n' roll Why can't I help myself? Kill off my bottled soul Why can't I help myself? Kill off my bottled soul with rock n' roll

It's the end of summer And I can't believe all the joy I'm feeling 'Cos I know it's gonna lead somewhere Summer is behind me and I am feeling so good Let me show you how it feels tonight Fires are burnin' from the spark in the solstice of my heart Oh yes. Tonight I know the world is moving on. My shadows getting long Those bright hazy days are gone But when the sun is laying low is when the stars begin to show Oh yeah yeah yeah, tonight So like a lover and a friend Let it rock me ‘til the end of summer And I can't believe all the joy I'm feeling 'Cos I know it's going to lead somewhere Summer is behind me and I am feeling so good I can feel the change tonight There's a darkness creeping in and I can feel it on my skin, it’s like Electricity tonight There's a stirring in my soul you know I'm shaking off the cold Feeling younger, getting old tonight So like a lover and a friend Let it rock me til the end of summer And I can't believe all the joy I'm feeling 'Cos I know it's going to lead somewhere Summer is behind me and I am feeling so good It's the end of summer And I can't believe all the joy I'm feeling 'Cos I know it's gonna lead somewhere Summer is behind me, it's behind me, oooh It's the end

about

Phil Johari's debut album "Slow Burn" was recorded in Manchester at Germanium Studios and will be released on 9th March. The album features a host of session players from the North of England and across the pond such as Mark Lettieri (Snarky Puppy), Christian Madden (Liam Gallagher) & Benjamin Lee Smith (Yola, The Human League).

Inspired by artists such as The Eagles, John Mayer, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson and Tracy Chapman has meant that the music always maintains a "Pop" feel but is guitar driven, harmonically rich and at times musically complex.

The release strategy of Slow Burn will be to release the album in it's entirety as a digital download and CD (with vinyl to follow later in the year) but also to release each song individually to Spotify, iTunes and the like. The "online only" songs will be shortened, with intros and fade outs cropped (and in some instances, entire sections omitted) in order for those who choose to purchase the full album to benefit from getting the full immersive experience of the included soundscapes and longer sections to the songs.

The artwork for the album has been created by Lewis McLean and feature the colour palettes seen in the music by Phil Johari's Synaesthesia, which also dictated the order of the album by "colour coding" the songs.
